+Account Executive

Position Overview:

As a member of the Sales team, the Account Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth by effectively communicating product offerings to both technical and non-technical clients.  This position will foster strong relationships at all levels of client organizations, manage new and existing accounts, and will navigate the sales process from prospecting to close and product start-up.

Account Executive Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at various levels, including executives and ownership, to ensure deep understanding of needs and customer loyalty.
  • Engage with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Regularly check in with current customers to ensure their needs are met in terms of product satisfaction, with packaging products, and equipment functionality.
  • Manage and grow both large and small customer accounts, ensuring all clients receive high-quality service and attention.
  • Identify prospects for new product lines and manage projects from conception through to delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure equipment specifications are fully defined.
  • Utilize CRM to track interactions, manage pipelines, and report sales forecasts.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to network with potential clients and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Regular presence in the office when not traveling is required.

Account Executive Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to adapt to new situations, demonstrating creativity in problem-solving and engagement strategies.
  • Strong persuasive skills, including the ability to address objections and craft effective questions to uncover client needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at various levels, including executives and owners.
  • Skilled in negotiation, capable of reaching mutually beneficial agreements regarding pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Empathetic understanding of customers’ perspectives to build trust and rapport.
  • Highly motivated by goal achievement and driven to exceed sales targets.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of ROI analysis, market trends, and the cost implications of business decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering precise and accurate work in all aspects of the role.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in equipment or food manufacturing, is a plus.
  • Experience in managing customers with recurring revenue streams is a plus.
  • Proficient in project management, including defining and overseeing timelines and deliverables.
  • Advanced skills in document formatting and presentation, proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires up to 50% travel to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and engage in onsite visits.
